Room Upgrade prices only for new bookings?

I booked a non refundable rate for a date at the end of July- final payment was due last week. Of course, the price has dropped significantly in the past week after final payment… I booked a GTY interior, now GTY neighborhood balcony is around the same price as I paid. I asked my TA to upgrade the room and they’re saying that Royal is saying the new price is for new bookings, and that it can’t be applied to previous booking upgrades. Has anyone else had this issue? I always thought that you could upgrade rooms for the current price shown, guess that’s not the case?

Chosing between these two very different ships(&cost) but similar itinerary

Trying to choose between these too. Both have similar ports but obviously very different ships. Price difference would be about $400. Which would you choose? For context- two adults , not big drinkers/night life, enjoy shows, trivia, etc.

Planning our next vacation. We’ve been on both- AI and a cruise. We liked some aspects of both. But on a cruise we really liked the entertainment (comedy, trivia, shows, etc). The all inclusive we went to had minimal entertainment and we found ourselves bored at times. Are there any resorts that have cruise level entertainment?
