First time posting here — needed to find my people after yesterday
I've been building a lore project for months. Not just images — thousands of words of narrative, characters with full backstories, a protagonist with a complete arc, worldbuilding with internal logic and structure. The AI-generated images are the visual representation of characters I wrote by hand, word by word.
Yesterday I shared it in a worldbuilding community. The response:
"AI slop." "You're boiling the planet." "Thief."
Not one comment about the actual writing. Not one question about the lore. Just the image — and immediate verdict.
The irony is that the community is dedicated to worldbuilding. To words. To narrative. And they couldn't get past the visual vessel to read a single sentence beneath it.
I'm not here to fight anyone. I just needed a space where people understand that AI-assisted art can carry real creative work behind it.
If you want to see what I mean — the project is in my profile.
