Is this legal?

I am not licensed yet but I’m a student I don’t grad until maybe 4 more months.
I wanted to offer very cheap facial services and makeup applications locally just really to get content.
Am I allowed to do this?

Sorry long post

Hey everyone! This is mostly just a rant, and it’s my first time posting here, so hi. 👋
I’ve been with this family for about 6 months. When I started, they told me that after 6 months I’d get a pay increase and guaranteed hours. The day before I was expecting both, they told me they weren’t doing either.
If they had been honest with me sooner, I could’ve been looking for another position weeks ago. Instead, I feel like they waited because they knew I wouldn’t be able to leave immediately.

I’m currently in school, so I need a position that works around my class schedule. Summer has made that almost impossible because everyone is looking for nanny jobs or offering childcare. Every Care or Facebook post gets flooded with applicants within minutes. I’m applying constantly, but it’s really hard to even get noticed.
Right now I’m making around $300 a week. Every dollar goes toward bills, and I’m still dipping into my savings just to get by. Financially, I don’t have the option to quit until I find something else.
On top of that, they’ve started expecting way more than typical nanny duties. They’ve asked me to clean out their cars, garage, and storage areas. I don’t mind helping around the house, but I’m only there for a few hours a day, and I barely have enough time to get my actual childcare responsibilities done.

The part that really gets me is they told me that if I find another job, they expect a month’s notice. They even wanted me to sign an agreement saying that if I didn’t give 30 days’ notice, I’d have to pay them for two weeks of childcare. 😭😂
Meanwhile, they gave me ONE day’s notice that they weren’t honoring the raise and guaranteed hours they promised me.
At this point, I’m staying because I have to financially. But once I find another position, I honestly don’t feel like I owe them the courtesy they’re asking from me when they didn’t extend the same respect to me.
Has anyone else dealt with something like this? Am I overreacting, or is this as unreasonable as it feels
