This adaptation is being done by the legendary Ayano Yamane! If you’re wondering why this art looks so much like 2000’s yaoi manga, it’s because it’s literally by one of the best-selling Yaoi manga creators of that era (as the author of “Viewfinder”). I’m also excited since this adaptation probably won’t have any censorship!

I was really looking forward to this book and especially the freebie, knowing that the art on the magnets were originally to be used in 7S’ special edition. The magnets themselves work fine and have pretty art! I couldn’t help but notice that the edges were messed up a little (especially in the 3rd image), but it’s not overall bad quality considering it’s a freebie.

Chrysanthemum Garden has been through so much these past days—from announcing their closure a few days ago to working with their community to figure out their financial state. I’m glad that they’re staying, especially considering how important their site has been in the BL web novel space! I’m sad they had to take down their Korean novels, but it’s understanble considering how fierce Korean publishers are with protecting their original works.

The hardcover edition of the novel is so high quality, it’s insane! The translation itself is great and there are no grammar issues so far. To clarify, the dust jacket is the purple and black cover on the right, and the actual book is on the left! I was also genuinely surprised by how faithful the manhwa was to the novel, it’s unreal.
