Dental bridge for aesthetic reasons?

I have a 40 year old crown that came off, it is one of my upper front teeth. My dentist cemented it back on so I could look normal at work while deciding whether to have an implant or a permanent dental bridge. I am 67, have always been very self conscious about the appearance of my teeth which are all basically different colors of yellow from years of smoking (I no longer smoke). I have always covered my smile due to embarassment. There is a tooth next to my missing crown that has a veneer on it. On the other side a tooth has metal fillings that are as old as the crown. With a bridge, my dentist can cover the 5 teeth that are front most in my mouth and get them to all be the same brighter color. Worth doing?
