Finally apart of the family

Traded in my 2023 Honda HRV for this beauty. This is a 2026 premium hybrid. Main driving factor was that this gets about 1.5x the MPGs my AWD HRV got, with more cargo and rear seat space. And man am I excited. It’s got all sorts of bells and whistles, and it just feels so well crafted. Even the Honda interior, as nice as it appeared, was pretty low quality.

It’s also cool to have the shared Toyota powertrain. Swipe for the old HRV. I would recommend that car but with having two kids since I bought it, it was time to switch.

So the landlord finally sent my deposit back, after 60+ days of the end of my lease. However, the amount is the exact deposit amount. The demand letter that I had sent was for double. Do I follow through with my claim? Or do I just cash this in and be done. Keep in mind that I already paid court fees, and they should be served papers here in the next week or two. The claim amount is double + fees.

I already called them and let them know I would drop the claim if we can settle at double the deposit amount outside of court.

So, the last time I posted about this, my 31 days had barely elapsed and I was trying to give them some grace to return my deposit. Well, we are well past that now and I’m ready to sue these motherfuckers. I have been more than patient, even sending a demand letter with 10 extra days for them to issue payment. They didn’t even acknowledge it.

So, please let me know who I can trust in the city to sue the shit out of these dirtbags.
