Has anybody else had issues with this lately? Yesterday, I was being checked for nearly 24 hours and couldn’t drive, and today I was online for only an hour before it started again. It hasn’t been brief at all, they’ve taken hours and hours to complete for me.
Mayhem Requiem was absolutely stunning and just serves to hammer home why I stan Gaga in the first place. She’s got so much raw talent, it’s genuinely awe striking that we get to experience her career in real time like this.
Nearly five years ago, my best friend lost his battle with depression. Gaga was his number one. Ever since then, I’ve had a very complicated relationship with her; listening to her always makes me think of him, and no matter what good memory comes to mind, I always end up in a sea of sadness.
Mayhem, for me, was a bit of a rebirth as a Gaga fan. New music meant opportunities for new memories. But having watched Requiem last night, I find myself in mourning all over again. He would really have loved it with an intensity I can’t describe.
