Getting divorced and do not want STBX to get CHAMPVA.
Was deployed and wife had an affair. Shocking, I know! We are separated and the divorce may take years to complete. I will soon be 100% P&T and was considering CHAMPVA for my daughter but I do not want my adulterous wife to receive ANY benefits since she ruined my military career with her smear campaign. For those that are curious, she met a Naval JAG officer O5 and international law attorney for EUCOM who lives in Stuttgart. Her affair could be turned into a movie but without the happy ending. He dumped her after three months. I needed the guy to “take my problem away” and he failed.
When I enroll my daughter in CHAMP would the wife be able to apply as well? If I delete her as a dependent would that negate her from getting anything?
