Struggling to identify this one (quadrant coat of arms)

Hello! Thanks to your help I’ve been able to identify many of my seals without outside assistance. This one, however, has caught me up.

This is a Victorian era fob wax seal with a quadranted coat of arms, and a crest of a stag caboshed.

It’s difficult to make out the details on this one, but here is what I have observed:

Top left (repeated bottom right) griffin sejant on a gold background.

Top right (repeated bottom left) three (gold?) roundels separated by a central chevron. The chevrons appear to have a three-leafed plant repeated three times, although it is difficult to make out even under magnification.

In the center there is another griffin sejant, and in the upper center there is a hand.

I have not found any sources describing a griffin sejant, have I misidentified the attitude?

Any help with this seal would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Coat of arms (Victorian era fob seal)

Hello! Here I have a very nice bloodstone and gold fob seal. Above the coat of arms there is a knight that appears to be holding a mace ball. How can I identify this seal?

I am continuing my research on my inherited seals, and I’m hitting a bit of a wall when it comes to research. As much as I’ve enjoyed relying on you lovely people, I would really appreciate some direction on where to start my own research. For now, I hope you enjoy a few more interesting seals!

Amethyst and gold wax seal

Hello everyone! Here is today’s seal, a Victorian fob seal made of gold with an amethyst sealing face (is that the correct term?). I’m doing some research to see if I can link the motto “Sans crainte” (French for “without fear”) to any particular family/clan. The seal features the bust of a knight with a lion standing on its head.

What is this crest? Fob seal with hidden compartment

Hello! I’m continuing my heraldry research and I have reached another dead end on this crest. It is topped by a lion which leads me to believe it is English. The inscription below reads in French “Toujours prest” which translates to “always be ready”.

It also hinges at the base and reveals a braided cut of human hair, with initials C D, and the date August 1st 1884.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I can’t believe the condition of the hair it’s honestly insane.

Victorian swivel fob seal linked to the Scottish noble clan Murray of Atholl

Hello everyone! I've been trying to get better at doing my own research on heraldry, here is what I've found for this fob seal:

A historic 14K Victorian swivel fob pendant seal, heirloom linked to the highland Scottish noble Clan Murray of Atholl, fob attached with three Borromean style rings, fob swivels to select an engraved bloodstone seal with the Murray clan's heraldic shield and an old Scottish phrase "Furth fortune and fill the fetters" which translates to "Go forth against your enemies, have good fortune, and return with captives", the reverse of the fob hosts a red carnelian stone depicting a monogram of the letters "MHB".

Agate handle heraldic seal

Hello again! Here are some closer, magnified images of an interesting heraldic seal. I know very little about heraldry, does anyone know where I may find some credible sources to learn?

Seal of the day!

I’d like to start this off by thanking this community for their support, and specifically u/Original-Tea-1773 (most of this information is from them).

This is a seal made by the Jewelers to “The Queen & Royal Family” I & T Turner & Co.

I’m unsure whether or not this was a gift to the royal family, or just by the jewelers of the royal family. Can anyone recognize this seal? It reads “Je suis de ce que jaime” (translates to “I am proud of what I love”), with an image of a flower, some grass/landscape, and the sun.

The seal is topped with a beautiful dog, sitting on an unknown stone (milky orange).

The box sadly does not have any dates present.

What are your theories as to the history and meaning of the seal?

Any suggestions as to where I can repost this to learn more would be greatly appreciated 😃

Inherited Wax Seals Pt. 2 (thank you!)

Pt. 1 if you haven’t seen my earlier post 😃

First of all, thank you so much to everyone who immediately responded. You all have saved me from taking a very bad offer for the entire collection.

I’ve taken photos of the rest of the seals with wax samples, and here they are!

If any of you would like closer-up photos of any of the seals please let me know, I’ll be happy to send them in the comments!

Thank you so very much for your guidance, I’m looking forward to learning more about these beautiful stamps.

Help! I’ve inherited 50+ old wax sealers and I’d love some help identifying.

Hello! After the passing of a family member, I’ve inherited a collection of 50-60 old wax sealers. A lot of them are very ornately decorated and have interesting handles, but if I’m being totally honest I have no idea what I’m looking at 😅

Someone offered $3,000 USD for the full collection, but my friend thinks they’re worth more because he says they are real gold (he directed me to get Reddit and ask here).

I’ve ordered a wax kit so I can show what the seals print, it should be here today (I’ll post updates)

I’m not necessarily looking for appraisals, I’d just really like to know if there’s anything historically significant about them. Is this the right place to post them? Thank you so much!
