Hello! I am a 21 year old American female with a BS in environmental science and have 1 year of teaching experience in the states. I am planning on moving to Chiang Mai, Thailand around October of this year and am looking for advice on my TEFL certification. This move is not permanent, but I am looking to stay for just a few years or so. My budget is around $350 USD for a certification but even after all my research I don't feel confident in any of my options. Should I try for a US teaching certification instead? Are the online courses accredited? Is the job placement assistance necessary? Is there better options that I should look into?
