I work 1.5 mi from a train station. I want to start running it.

Hi runners! Used to run regularly, but fell out of it when I switched to a toxic job. Left that one, but now I’m commuting 2 hrs on transit one way for my current job. I’m switching to another route that drops me at a train station 1.5-2 mi (depends on my route) from my building. I figured this would be a perfect way to get back into running.

I plan to start with using c25k to build my base, but that’s just 3x a week and one time a day. How would you suggest getting to where I can run both ways?

My work building has a shower if I need it, there is no dress code aside from close toed shoes in the lab, and I carry my lunch and other things in a small backpack. I also have a locker to keep toiletries in.

Maybe I’m getting a little crazy, but has anyone tried making a macramé plant pole for epiphytes?

Not my creation, but thought of doing this for some of my plants. I also considered making a moss pole and tying the moss with a basic net pattern using half hitches.

[Website] Does anyone use Buy Me a Coffee for payments? Do you use its portfolio function?

Getting into small batch sticker runs and other prints. I didn’t want to use any online stores because I have an unrelated full time job with a long commute. This looked like less of a commitment to me, but could still function as a way to handle sales.

Sea turtle using a pattern from Bochiknot

Started over the head and shell so many times, but loved making this little guy. Saw someone else on here is making sea animals too!

Do most watercolor artists use a ranged palette for final pieces? I’ve only used split primary.

My mother wanted me to cut out a page of a sketchbook that she liked. I told her I would do a better piece on watercolor paper for her instead. She showed the photo of the page to her friends, and they all want a copy.

Thing is, I mostly use split primary when I paint. I have never given or sold a painting before. Would I be better off buying colors that match what I mixed instead of mixing them? I am nervous to ruin what I’m working on.
