Getaway during Lost Light:
I was looking at the cover of Lost Light #11, where Getaway has a “Getaway Star”, and I was instantly reminded of this meme from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.

I’ve mentioned this before but, while I was brainstorming fan-fic ideas, one that I thought could potentially be interesting is for Amity to worry that she only became a better person for Luz.
I’ll keep this brief but, since Amity spent her entire life having to model herself after her mother, it could be entirely possible for her to worry that she’s just doing the same thing for Luz or even that she’s still just her past self deep down, and she could be eager to prove otherwise. Potentially, this could even lead to Amity temporarily sliding back into her old desperation to prove her worth or becoming more distant from Luz, though I imagine that she would realise and snap out of it fairly quickly with help from the other characters.
But what do you think? Could you see Amity worrying that she only changed for Luz?
Can you think of any instances where a recolour winds up endearing itself to you so much that it overrides the original as the main wearer of the design? This could be due to them getting major media appearances when the original didn’t or simply a matter of personal preference.
I think that a widespread example of the former case would be RID 2001 Sky-Byte and Scourge surpassing TM2 Cybershark and Laser Optimus Prime, since they were main characters in their show, while the originals have had very few appearances so far. Meanwhile, if I were to personally choose an example for the latter case, then I would probably choose something like Legacy Chromia over Legacy Prowl, since I think that the mould suits her a little better.
I could probably think of a lot more examples, but I wanted to leave some for everybody else to choose from. So, what instances of this phenomenon can you think of?
Can you think of any instances where a figure adheres so closely to its source material that it winds up inheriting some of its flaws and turns out worse for it (i.e. being accurate to a fault)?
Personally, I can think of two examples off the top of my head:
Legacy Blitzwing’s tank mode having the jet’s cockpit sticking out of the front. This example particularly irks me because this figure’s tank mode is so close to being great but it just takes a nosedive from how awkward the front looks. Maybe, it could have looked alright if the cockpit didn’t stick out as far, but I honestly may have preferred if it was just kept at the back instead.
This one might be a bit contentious, but the shade of blue used for windows on more Sunbow-accurate figures. I actually agree with DrLockdown’s take on this subject, as I just think that this shade looks very cheap and unsightly. I understand the issues that people have with clear plastic (especially since my Earthrise Smokescreen recently broke), but I just generally prefer how it looks. Admittedly, SS86 Brawn isn’t the worst example of this, but he and Legacy Gears were the only examples of this that I own.
But those are just my thoughts? Would you say that these are examples of being accurate to a fault and can you think of any others?
While rewatching “Edge of the World”, I noticed that we don’t actually see any demons among the Titan Trappers, which got me wondering if their hatred of Titans could perhaps extend to a hatred of demons in general.
Personally, I think that this could make a lot of sense, especially since demons are believed to have evolved from the remains of a decaying Titan (which could potentially even be why the trappers don’t have palismen either). But what do you think?
