Countertop question

My question is how to join a standard width countertop to a bar width. My pics show the countertop and a drawing of how I think it might go. Am I on the right track? This sub has been a godsend. Im done quite a bit of home improvement work but never tackled cabinets. Edit to say these will be formica countertops.

Hanging wall cabinets

Is 1/2" plywood strong enough to hold uppers? Hanging wall cabinets and obviously they don't hit studs correctly. At the bottom i can hit at least one stud on every cabinet but I know that's not enough for the top where most of the pulling pressure will be. My plan is to cut a 2.5" strip of drywall out all along the wall and lay 1/2" ply to span all the studs for an attachment point. Studs are 16" oc. Corners all have enough studs so 24/30 and 18/30 are the rest of the uppers. 12" deep.

Cabinet paint

I purchased unfinished poplar cabinets and plan to paint myself. Currently the plan is to spray using BIN shellac based primer followed by SW Gallery paint. Im a little torn on how to finish the inside. The cabinets will be gray color. Can I have the BIN tinted to a similar color gray the paint the face and interior followed by just the gallery on the faces and doors? Will just the primer hold up on the interior? Just trying to save a few bucks if I can. If it's a no go then I'll bite the bullet and buy more gallery.

Cabinet base dimensions

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the diagram or I just can't find the answer but how deep are standard cabinets at the base? Currently remodeling my house and I ripped all the POs "custom" cabinets out. I currently have 20.5" of space between the drywall and the tile edge. I can get 21" if I remove the drywall. We are considering unfinished poplar Shaker style cabinets and will paint ourselves. Not sure it makes any difference but I'll be laying LVP over the tile. Any paint tips are welcome as well. Probably 35' of bases and walls . Planned to spray but maybe rolling is better. Not sure what brand paint yet.

Can someone check my calculations on propane gas line length?

Trying to determine if my 2nd stage regulator will need moved. Kind of a wonky setup but the propane company has the 2nd stage regulator right at the tank. The previous owner had about 100 feet of 1/2" line ran to a ventless gas heater in the house. He also had black pipe buried. I dug all that up and ran 3/4" Proflex PE underground with meter sweeps on each end. The tank side is plumbed to 5/8" copper. The house side transitions to 3/4" black pipe. I am going to install a 60k BTU furnace and a gas range. The gas range I'm looking at is rated at 57k btus if every burner and the oven is running full. So I am assuming around 120k BTU total. I have 115 feet of 3/4" plus 45' of deductions for fittings (2 elbows, 1 tee, and the rest are couplers.) If I am reading the charts correctly it is saying up to 250' will get 119k btus, 175' is at 145 btus. So with fitting deductions I'll be around 175' by the time I'm hooked to an appliance. So to make a long story even longer....will I be ok with 175' of 3/4" pipe after the second stage regulator or will I need to have the propane company install a 1st stage at the tank and move the 2nd stage closer to the house?

Need flooring advice

My new to me home is a slab foundation. The bathrooms, kitchen and dining room are tile on slab. I am having the bedrooms carpeted with 60oz carpet and 1/2" pad. The 1/2" pad will set level with the tile and the carpet will be about 1/2" above that I want to do vinyl plank on all the areas that are now tiled. I plan to use 6mm plank. Can I (or better yet), should I glue or somehow attach 1/4" or 3/8" underlayment over all the tile and lay the vinyl on that?

Trouble with 3 way switch

I am handy enough to swap wires from switch to switch but I'm not an electrician. I was replacing a 3 way switch to upgrade to a nicer switch but even before I touched anything the switch was wired incorrectly I think as you could turn on and off with switch 1 but if you turned switch 2 off then switch 1 no longer functions either on or off. If switch 1 was off and you turned on #2 then #1 would no longer turn the light off.

I removed both switches and verified from ground to hot that (14/3) that all wires on switch 2 were dead and the red wire on switch 1 was hot. So I'm guessing that means black and white at switch 1 are travelers. I've attached a drawing of how it was wired originally. Can someone tell me how to wire switch 2 if #1 remains wired as original. Or tell me what I'm doing wrong. I'm stumped and ready to cap the wires in switch 2 and put a blank face plate on.
