Hi everyone,
I have a 2024 Vespa Sprint S i-get, and today something happened that I’ve never experienced before.
I rode the scooter for about 10 minutes, parked it, and turned off the engine. About 2 minutes later, I suddenly heard one very loud “thud” (or “bang”). It only happened once and then stopped completely.
The scooter rides perfectly fine. There’s no loss of power, no strange noises while riding, and the engine starts normally. The check engine light only comes on when I turn the key to the ON position, then turns off immediately after the engine starts, which I believe is normal.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Could it just be the exhaust, heat shield, or catalytic converter cooling down, or is this something I should have inspected?
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
