This Dose Hit Differently

Just ouch. I've been on Mounjaro since the end of February and I've lost a good amount of weight. Almost 75 pounds. And I've been very fortunate to have little to no side effects. Except this week's dose. I feel as if I'm starting the medication all over again and it's flushing my system, literally no appetite and crazy diarrhea, as if Im on my first week of 2.5mg. For reference, I've been on 15mg for a month and a half now. I had reduced appetite but never zero. Maybe this is a good thing? I did stall out for about 3 weeks bouncing between 240-245 and then suddenly boom, I'm down to 237 overnight. But the no appetite at all and the sudden diarrhea concerns me a little. Should I be worried or just keep drinking water and ride it out? I took my shot Sunday and Monday evening was when the diarrhea hit. I hadn't pooped in a few days but that's normal for me on the medication. Pre-mounjaro it was 5-7 times a day 😅 #undiagnosedT2D

Fold 6 to Fold 8 Ultra: Worth It

Hey! I just got my fold 8 ultra in the mail yesterday and it is such a leap from the fold 6. Yes, of course I miss having the ability to use the s-pen, but if I'm being realistic, I stopped using the pen a while ago when I realized there was no good way to store it. Even with an s-pen case. But the size difference is unreal between the two. The 8 ultra is about as thin as one half of the 6 while closed. The outer display feels so much larger and even feels more like a traditional smartphone, which feels great for two thumb typing and I have larger hands so it definitely feels less crowded, while still being comfortable for one thumb typing. The facial recognition and fingerprint unlock is super snappy and responsive. I was already impressed by the fingerprint scanner on the 6, but stopped using the facial because it just never seemed to work. Now both are lightning quick. I haven't had to much time to use the camera yet. I know the selfie camera seems super washed out and flat, if anyone has some setting recommendations to make it feel more vibrant, that would be awesome. The back camera is definitely an upgrade, glad to see the cameras are finally on par with the other flagship titles. Overall, going from the 6 to 8, feels like a proper jump. I don't know about going from 7 to 8 however, the form factor is very similar and I wouldn't personally upgrade unless you're wanting the newer camera, better battery life, or the inside matte screen protector (which works great btw).

Will be 1-2 days late on dose

I went on a 3 day hiking trip and completely forgot to grab my next round of doses before I left. I will be 1-2 days late while waiting on my pharmacy to get the next round ordered and delivered. Is there any potential side effects I need to watch out for? I'm on 15mg and have thankfully been blessed with no side effects for my entire journey. But I've never been late on a dose before and don't know if it'll "hurt" me or not. Besides hunger and food noise, is there a possibility of me getting sick for being late?

New Clothes Section Achievement

It finally happened! Decided to go to Kohl's to get some new clothes (they're the only place near me that has a somewhat affordable big and tall section) and went to the B&T section to see what size I am now. Before Mounjaro I was a 3xb ( we all know the 'b' stands for belly 🙂‍↕️) and I realized that nothing there fits me anymore, it's all to big! So I ventured over to the normal size section and was actually able to try on some new clothes! I'm now sitting at a comfy 2XL (no longer need anything with a 'b' in it) and a 38 in pants! I haven't been a 38 since high school. With my new found confidence I went a couple towns over to the GAP with my wife and was able to shop around! I grabbed some new khakis, jeans, and my wife helped me pick out a real snazzy outfit if I do say so myself. I am so happy with the progress I've made. Going forward with new found confidence and I will hit my gw of 200lbs. Maybe even 185lbs if I'm lucky 🤞

NSV - Airplane Flight

So just got back from a work trip and I have great news! 4 years ago at my heaviest (370lbs) my wife and I flew for a weekend birthday vacation and I had to ask for a seatbelt extender because the seatbelt didn't fit. Even after lifting my stomach and trying to squeeze it underneath. Since then I have been ashamed and terrified to fly. However, this go around I had no choice and had to fly for this work trip. I sat down in my seat and immediately noticed how much better I fit. Then I pulled out the seatbelt, extended it as far as it would go and it clicked right in. Matter of fact, I had to tighten it!!!

NSV - A1C 3 Month Checkup

Just had my 3 months diabetes checkup, and awesome news! In February I was diagnosed with T2D with an A1C of 11.7 and was put on Mounjaro. Today my A1C came back as an even 6.0! My doctor and her nurses were super excited and proud of me. My doctor even gave me a hug!

NSV - Lost 100lbs!

At my highest weight I was at 370lbs, through diet and exercise I was able to get to 312lbs but stalled for about a year. Started Mounjaro end of February 2026 and as of this morning I am 270lbs! I have 70lbs more to go until my goal weight and hopefully, eventually 185lbs. But for right now, I am super happy to have lost 100lbs!

Edit: Please ignore the NSV in the post, I forgot to change it before I posted 😅
