Chapter One of The Broken (Urban Fantasy/Neo Noir, 2342 words)

Hey everyone, about two weeks ago I posted the first draft of my WIP's prologue on this sub and I got great feedback both in the comments and privately. Since then, I have finished a bunch of chapters and have been going strong. Right now, I've hit a bit of a writers block, and thought I would post another chapter to get some more feedback. If you would like to compare it to my Prologue to see if I got better then, please do. Or if you could just give me critical feedback on this piece alone, that would be great too.

Thanks a bunch!

(P.S. Yes, I know the prologue and chapter one are from two different POV styles. That is by design.)

First Draft Prologue

Hey everyone, I have been around since the day this sub opened, but I haven't sent any of my work for feedback. Mostly because I'm chicken but also because my work schedule makes it hard to get progress on my writing. Well, I lost my job today and decided to sit down and finally start writing the novel thats been planned several times over at this point. I would really appreciate constructive criticism on the first draft of my prologue please.
