After years of lurking on Reddit and a day spent playing with my lights/camera and learning a bit about watch photography, I thought it might be time for my first ever post.

I’m less than a year into the hobby and thoroughly enjoying myself thus far. One thing I’ve learned about myself is that my enjoyment of a given piece varies over time more than I expected and is not correlated with price. Some of these have sentimental reasons for being there and others just had that…pull.

Eventually the Casio will shift out of this box (though I certainly won’t be selling it) and I’ll have a collection of 10 mechanical watches, if I can make myself stop there. Current front runners for the three remaining slots are:
