Babysitting rate

Curious what parents are willing to pay and what babysitters have as their rate. I’ve been babysitting for 9 almost 10 years, am CPR/First Aid certified, and work part time at a daycare so have all the required Safe Sleep, SIDS, Anaphylaxis, etc. I usually babysit for 2-4 kids both days nights and daytime.

Rate advice

I’ve been babysitting for about 9/10 years, I think I have a solid rate but wanted to get others opinions. I am currently about to start my final year of college and babysit for date nights usually and during the day now for summer. I currently charge $20/hour + $2/hour per additional child, this appears to be the going rate in my area. However I do have one family that insists on paying me $25/hour for two kids and I’m not sure if they’re trying to tell me that I should raise my rate or if they just want to pay more. I am CPR/First Aid certified and also work per diem in a daycare so have training on SIDS, Safe Sleep, Anaphylaxis, and all the other required trainings. I am located near Rochester, NY.

Local lending library

I’m trying to gauge interest to see if it is worth establishing a baby carrier lending library in my area. I live near Rochester, NY and it appears that there are no lending libraries here. If there is a need for one in the area I would love to learn more and potentially fill that need. Also maybe online/shipping available?

Free stuff, pickup near E River Rd and Lehigh Station

Free hand soap, candle, hair products, and skincare. Everything except the hand soap and candle is used, various amounts. Products didn’t work for me, would be great for someone wanting to try it but not pay full price.
