Missing lower teeth. Dream ruined?

I had an accident a few years ago which meant I had to have my four bottom front teeth extracted. I since have had a 4 unit bridge fitted on two implants. I haven't worked in tv/film since before the surgery but I've been really missing acting and am considering dipping my toes back in. Luckily I smile with my top teeth, but if I show my bottom teeth it's quite obvious they are fake. I'm planning to get the bridge redone as I'm not happy with how it looks, but even so, I'm wondering if it will prevent me from getting roles. I know not all actors have perfect teeth, but I don't think I've met anyone with the same issue as me. Are there any options or is there any hope for me?

Finish PhD before medicine?

Hello, I am a first year PhD student considering sitting the GAMSAT next March. I know I would not be eligible to start medical school until the following year if I am successful. By then I would be in the final year of my PhD.

However, I am concerned that if I finish my PhD I will be ineligible for Austudy and finishing the degree may be very difficult without it. I am single and would not be able to rely on family for housing and financial support while studying medicine. I'm also slightly older than a typical med student and am behind my peers in terms of savings etc. That being said, I have a great amount of respect for the team I am currently working with for my PhD, and it's an amazing opportunity. I think though that I've had a bit of a wake up call that academia is really not a stable career. I am concerned that doing a PhD has put me substantially behind financially compared with peers who entered full-time employment earlier, and that this opportunity cost may be particularly significant if I subsequently leave academia. I would like the opportunity to have a job where I am making a meaningful contribution.

I think part of me knows that I should sit the GAMSAT and then if I get a good mark or accepted into a program then I should leave the PhD. I know it's what would be best for me and I'm trying to avoid the guilt of doing that as it feels a bit manipulative. Have others been able to successfully manage medical school after a PhD with part-time work? Has anyone decided to leave a funded PhD to pursue medicine? Do you regret it or was it good to not get sucked into the sunk cost?

Can't exercise or weightlift because always activated

I have been doing Hakomi for about 2 years. I was very active, doing many sports, weightlifting, and running. I would train multiple hours a day and only have 1 day off. I had to stop after an injury and surgery and have struggled to start exercising again. The thing is, it doesn't feel like I'm just out of shape. If I do push ups, my whole body will shake and I have to pause after a few reps to just let my neck jerk. I feel almost like there is light/energy beaming through my body. If I do a weightlifting session, I feel so agitated and tense for a couple of days. I'm exhausted and can barely function. It feels like I need constant sleep or scrolling. I gained a lot of weight over the past couple of years because I also have struggled with emotional eating over this time. I plan to go to the gym but if I push through all that's happening in my body, I feel worse, so I don't go, but then I get more out of shape and gain weight. I'm really at a loss. I'm trying to get through life and I just can't function. How long is this supposed to last for? I would have thought 2 years of this stuff and I would be doing better not worse.

Lebanese Mixed Plate

-1/2 bread loaf/round

- Kofta

- lamb

- chicken

- garlic

- hummus

- tabbouleh

- chips

-pickles

- diet ginger beer

I also had a cheeky kofta and cheese sambousek, but both were very small (~ 6 cm long) and not shown in the pics.

My estimate was around 1,451 calories and 96 g of protein for all items listed above.

Taking exams while self-studying IB mathematics?

Hello, apologies if this question has already been asked -- I did try to google/look it up here.

TLDR: I'm studying IB maths but am not sure if you need to plan to take an exam to study properly and make sure you are precise. I'm also looking for feedback for how I'm currently working.

I am relearning maths from highschool level. I'm not sure whether I need to study as though I am planning to sit a final maths exam, e.g. IB exam, since I know the way that I studied for assignments and tests seems to feel very different to how I'm learning now. On the one hand, I am appreciating going at my own pace and being able to fully digest and understand what I'm doing. On the other hand, I'm not really doing things perfectly and mechanically to opitmise my results. I can describe my methods a bit more below:

I am currently alternating between two books. I am about halfway through Mathematics for the International Students - HL: Analysis and Approaches, and I am on Ch. 3 of Pre-calculus mathematics by Shanks and Merrill. For the HL maths text, I work through the chapters and do all the exercises including the quizzes at the end of the chapter. If I make any mistakes, then I repeat those questions. I will occasionally go back and pick out random quiz questions from previous chapters to reinforce what I've learnt. Recently, I have begun trying to write down all the concepts from the chapter onto a blank piece of paper and explain it all from scratch before taking the quiz.

I find the Shanks and Merrill book HARD -- even for the first few chapters which cover "basic" concepts. So far I am just solving the problems, which take me a long time.

I think I am trying to go about this the right way, but I do notice a big difference in how I work now compared to when I was in Highschool. Back then, I heavily relied on my calculator because it was all about acing a test. I'm also worried that I still consistently make mistakes while working through chapters. I don't know if the way IB maths is taught whether the work all compounds and my algebra etc. will get better by the time I've finished the content.

Would really appreciate any feedback.
