I’m really not convinced…. Does anyone else feel this? All very jolly & matey but zero chemistry. No romance at all! A bit like Enid Blyton ‘5 move in Together’ Nothing like the strong connection between Alice & Chris… which is still there I feel
There have been comments already on the clothing so many characters are wearing which is totally unsuitable for the 3 heatwaves we’ve experienced in the last few months. I know they film 6/8 weeks ahead. That doesn’t stop some intelligent producer pointing out that this is a particularly hot summer and they should script for it.
It’s not just clothing. Extreme weather affects people’s moods, decisions and actions. Extreme heat in particular in a country unfit to cope with such temperatures.
For example, Mark & Lauren nearly getting it on on a hot steamy night, could have so easily tipped both over the edge!
If you want to look at how hot weather has changed people’s actions in drama, Tennessee Williams has the best examples. ‘Cat on a hot tin roof’ for example - or should that be ´Kat on a hot Vic roof’ 😂
There’s rumours going round that Jo Joyner will make a longed for comeback! How fantastic would that be? We know she’s a great actress and I bet wouldn’t consider it unless the storyline was really good! 🤞🤞
