Refugio Recommendations

Hi there- I’ve been researching refuges, but am feeling a little overwhelmed with info and reviews. we are planning a bit last-minute due to some factors beyond my control, so I’m grateful for any help you all can offer!
We are looking to spend a night in a refuge in early/mid September (after UTMB). We are two people, would be hiking up from Chamonix and are interested in something that is a bit of a hike (4-5+ hours of hiking; comfortable with physical challenges but no technical climbing). Ideally, we’d like to hike up and down on a loop instead of the same way both days, but that is flexible. We’d like to avoid things on the most popular lifts.
