How is bike commuting culture in the Philippines?

I’m from Brazil and I’ve been curious about how bike commuting culture works in the Philippines.

How common is it to commute by bike where you live? Which cities are better for it? I’m also curious about traffic, safety, infrastructure, weather, and how drivers usually react to cyclists. Do most people see cycling more as exercise, necessity, or a real transportation option?

Is ~877 installs in 2 months good for a mostly organic app launch?

I launched my app about 2 months ago and it has reached around 877 total installs so far. Most of the growth has been almost entirely organic, with basically no paid ads. The traffic mainly comes from Play Store search, ASO improvements, and a few posts in cycling communities. The app is focused on bike commuters and casual cyclists.

I’m trying to understand if this is considered decent traction for an indie app at this stage, or if these numbers are still considered low after two months. I know installs alone don’t mean much without retention and engagement, but I’d like to hear honest opinions from people who have experience growing apps organically on Google Play.

Did your apps start slowly too? At what point did growth begin to accelerate for you? Also, how much impact did ASO changes have on your installs in the beginning?
