Does this even exist?

I’m searching for a travel tripod with adjustable drag, counterbalance, and ideally a bowl head. I know these go at odds with the primary purpose of a travel tripod which is being small and lightweight. Does anyone know of any good contenders in this space? Thank you for answering my noobie question

Amazon Basics for 16” MacBook Stand?

Hey guys. As the title states, I got this Amazon basics stand for my 16" MacBook Pro. I don't like how much of the computer's weight is hanging on the left and right of the stand, given how wide the 16'''s chassis is.

If anyone has this stand, how does it last long term?

Otherwise, I know a lot of people recommend twelve south but it seems quite expensive

Recommend me an Aer!

Hi all, excited to get my first Aer! The materials and craftsmanship seem amazing. I plan on visiting the LA store this week to finalize my choice.

Here’s what I carry:
- 14” MacBook Pro
- iPad Air 11”
- AirPods Max
- Folio notebook with backup paper
- Small rectangular case for pens, pencils, calculator

OPTIONAL (nice to have):
- Logitech MX Master mouse
- Dedicated space for my Fuji x100vi (small mirrorless camera)

- Chargers: 96W MacBook, couple USB cables

I was thinking of going for the CPP 2 20L, does anyone have a similar loadout and would it be too small?

Tripod + Tabletop Rig in 1?

Hi all, I am searching for a studio tripod that can convert into a C-stand with a boom arm for top-down shots.

My current rig is not super heavy; just the body, a 24-70mm gm ii, and the audio top handle connected via xlr to a boom mic elsewhere in the studio.

I’d like to not go over 500, as I’m just starting out. I was looking at the K&F Concept T254A7 Video Tripod as a budget option.

Does anyone have any reccs? Thank you so much for your time!

Discord for MSOL Aerospace Engineering

Hey guys, I’ll be beginning the Aerospace Engineering MSOL program this Fall. Anyone have a discord where fellow students can meet, discuss class selection and such? I can make one if not. Thought it would be even more critical given the online nature of the program.

Warranty ending, should I sell?

Hi all, my 2020 M3’s Battery and Drive Unit warranty is expiring next year. I’m worried about the up front cost of a battery or drive train failure with no warranty. I should add that by next year I’ll be at about 70k miles.

Anyone have any experience or recommendations regarding this? Thank you so much for your time and help!

USC vs UCLA - Aerospace Engineering

Hi all, I'm sure this question has been asked a thousand times so I really appreciate your guys' time.

I'm in a bit of a unique scenario. I was accepted for admission into USC and UCLA's online masters program for Aerospace Engineering. As I won't be going to campus much (I work full time), the main things I am considering are cost and prestige.

USC is definitely more expensive, but I have heard the connections to the local aerospace industry are super helpful.

If USC will be that much more helpful in my long term career as an aerospace engineer, I can always find an employer like Boeing to pay for it.

At the end of the day, what would you guys choose? Thank you so much for your time and help!

If USC will be that much more helpful in my long term career as an aerospace engineer, I can always find an employer like Boeing to pay for it. But with UCLA, I can pay out of pocket and avoid being stuck in a contract with my employer.

At the end of the day, what would you guys choose? Thank you so much for your time and help!
