The screw is a 1/4”-20 swivel foot set screw. I use as part of a jig for binding guitar pegheads, but also steel it for a bunch of other little jobs.

My dad made them, but they are pretty roughly made, and I’d like to get more, and have slightly more money than time available. I can make more, but I’m wondering if there is something out there readily available. Cross dowel nuts are all too short, at least the ones I can find.

This was included in a lot with two older Quick-Grip clamps (the ones with the good, soft rubber faces), that I got for a good price for just the clamps. Most of the rest of the lot was just trash, but I have no idea what this thing is!

There is a toggle switch/plate in the handle that clamps the extending bar, and the toggle has an indent you can see in the third picture. There is also a counterclockwise arrow on the back.

I’m thinking some kind of wrench, but it would have to be for something very low torque, as nothing in it holds very well. And it would only work for removing pretty large nuts. It doesn’t make much sense.

Not bad for a home oven!

I accidentally made 480 gram balls instead of 420. But I can JUST fit in my oven, and I really like the big slices! I put a picture of my oven setup in too. It’s an electric oven, and with the steel and the stone, it really does take a full hour to get up to temp, but the results are great!
