Who else was terrified of the Sleestaks from Land of the Lost back in the’70s?

never seen anything like this before, found in central california

i found it in the flower beds of a store parking lot. it was swaying back and forth while its wings were stretched out and had a really wide mouth when it opened its beak. i figure it's some sort of nightjar?

Spotted in Colorado, perfect angel baby face

Sorry for the low-res photo. Saw this little guy looking out over the mountains in Colorado and I think this one has the cutest sweet little baby face ever.
