Acer nitro 5 thermal throttle

I have Acer nitro 5 rtx 3060 ryzen 7 5800h laptop , my cpu is reaching 91°C while im playing and this is lowering my fps ( the cpu is only using like 15w) also when im in idle the cpu temp is like 67 or 72°C . What should i do ? Should i replace the thermal paste or its something with the software?

Fortnite stuck at 50-77 FPS on Low Settings (Ryzen 7 5800H / RTX 3060) | Other heavy games run perfectly at 150+ FPS.

Hey everyone,

I'm completely out of options and need some deep technical advice from anyone who understands how Unreal Engine 5 communicates with laptop hardware.

My specs are: Acer Nitro 5 (Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3060 Laptop GPU, 16GB RAM running at full 3200 MHz dual-channel).

The Problem:

No matter what I do, Fortnite fluctuates erratically between 50 to 77 FPS on low settings. It is not locked to a flat 60, it just chokes constantly.

The Weird Part:

My PC hardware is perfectly healthy. I easily get 150+ FPS on high settings in Marvel Rivals and The Finals. This problem is 100% exclusive to Fortnite.

What I Have Already Done (None of this changed a single thing):

Full PC Reset: I did a complete Windows clean install wipe. Cleaned out all files and installed everything fresh.

DX12 Verified: Running DirectX 12, checked dxdiag and my feature levels read perfectly as 12_2 with WDDM 3.2.

Asset Download: Pre-downloaded all high-resolution textures in the Epic Launcher to stop background cosmetic streaming drops.

Windows/NVIDIA Routing: Forced Fortnite to "High Performance" dedicated GPU inside Windows Graphics settings, disabled Optimus / forced dedicated GPU only, and completely disabled WhisperMode/Battery Boost in the NVIDIA App.

HAGS & Optimizations: Turned Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS) OFF. Disabled Fullscreen Optimizations on the .exe file.

Cache Cleared: Wiped global NVIDIA DXCache / GLCache and the Fortnite DerivedDataCache folder multiple times.

Launcher: Closed out and killed the Epic Games Launcher via taskbar immediately after launching the game.

Because a full Windows reset didn't touch this issue, it feels like an engine-to-CPU scheduling or asset streaming conflict unique to the Ryzen 7 / RTX 3060 mobile configuration.

Has anyone with this hardware profile solved this? Is there a deep Engine.ini tweak, an implementation issue with Nanite/Lumen background pipelines, or a driver version rollback that actually forces UE5 to utilize the hardware? Any help is appreciated
