Nerfs and buffs.

Has anyone noticed some significant unpublished changes in damage or weapon stats? Mystic spear hand is hitting like a wet noodle on hard mode in Norgan. I switched to the ol sword and board and did significantly more damage with less stamina consumption overall.
Mystic spear hand was heavily overtuned in the base game and now it feels more balanced. I’ve read magic bow is feeling different. Loving the update so far I think they crushed it.

New IGLA bug

I’m not gonna say how to do it but iglas can “drop” the lock and resume it and a missile you thought you defeated will kill you. Btw this will also cut through flares. So yeah that’s not great.
Edit: I’m not talking about going cold then turning hot still inside lock on range and getting it. This is as the IGLA is designed. I mean getting locked, going cold, incoming, deploy flares, silence, audio/or no audio, way outside missile relock range, impact, insta-kill. This is not how the IGLA is designed and nothing should lock through flares or outside of its range.

Community Gouge on Balance

Tryna gauge where everyone falls on some balance changes knowing not everyone will agree. Here are somethings I would like the communities opinions on.

Why does that lil guy on the left with that lil .50cal out damage the gau cannon on the right? This is most noticeable with patrol boats as lil birds can kill them easily and jets cannot kill them in a pass even when landing every single round. Jets require early AGM into smoke, full gun strafe followed by AGM on the way out. This makes no sense from a physics (game/real life) standpoint or balance. The little bird is objectively easier to use effectively than any jet. So buff the boats with a higher reduction to small arms fire including .50 caliber.

Jets only have flares while ground vics have thermal, smoke, mine detection, threat detection, etc… To counter this, (in-game currently because they really should get loadouts instead of this), have engineers perks work with jets. 50 percent cooldown of all weapons. AGM included and bombs. Or have flares restock with air resup. I don’t really want either of these I want the jet to work properly and get loadouts but jets are so much weaker than the ground vics currently.

Below radar, is way too low and inconsistent for jets. I have seen and done myself, going through a wave in tsuru reef because below radar didn’t prock and you gotta lose a missile. I’ve tested on golmund with a friend and in some places it’s higher for helicopters than jets. Makes zero sense.

Jet vs jet ttk. Big controversial take I don’t hate the gun speed. When the attack jet is fighting a stealth jet it’s nice how both are still very lethal to each other and the attack jet can beam the stealth jet. The missiles do need to be reduced in damage and there is real world precedent for this as an f35 just ate a ground based missile with little to no damage.

Jet vs heli ttk. Revert that change. Attack choppas are way more lethal to jets than jets are to them. 25mm rounds should absolutely shred an aluminum frame. Jets maintained their weak airframe helicopters should too, or more accurately make both reduced to small arms fire. Still though the jets should shred everything that flys.

Increase the aoe and damage of the bombs. This one I’m not huge about but it would make jets more approachable for more players. Once you learn them they’re effective on both airframes but it’s too daunting for new players as is. Or not IDC as much about this one.

Update: TLDR; it seems like the LB is everyone’s main contention.

Two questions

  1. Is there a good bot lobby to warm up before going in? I took a break for a while and they made it so none of my custom portals will load without four people (not chill).
  2. Does anyone else have an aiming bug with the Air to ground mode in the attack jet? I’ve always had the camera go crazy wonky for no reason. When I switch to flir it goes nuts.
