I’m trying to make a Kumatetsu Cosplay (The Boy and the Beast), details below.

So I’m trying to put something together for my hrothgar as close as I can to Kumatetsu (the big red bear dude). I am up to date on msq. I will appreciate any suggestions.

My ideas so far

Weapon: Odenta Kai (Dark knight)
- This one is great cuz I can get the exact pose from the picture, and it looks like a samurai sword.

Shirt: ????? I would be happy with anything close to the picture or even something without the white undershirt.

Pants: Martial artists slops (possibly, seems pretty good though)

Shoes: ???? Endless Summer Sandals (the shape of this piece is amazing, but the dye color literally cannot get any darker than a mild gray)

This epic duo as a tag team fighter? (My ideas below, portraits are from FE Echoes)

I understand that fire emblem already has a decent selection of characters so maybe for this character concept we would need to remove byleth as a dlc, possibly Pyrrha and mythra too idek. Either way this idea has never left my head for ultimate ever since I played FE Echoes on the 3ds. I have some ideas.

First and foremost, besides the tag team element, I think their main shared mechanic for specials would be similar to pichu. Spells/combat arts in fe echoes deal damage to the user as a cost. These two would work in the same way, with Alm being heavier and having a lower % cost for specials, and Celica being lighter with a heavier focus on powerful ranged attacks that have a higher % cost. I will be ROUGHLY “building” these characters using moves from their game, please feel free to fill in the gaps or provide changes. Enjoy my rambling mess.

Celica-

Warp (UP B):
I wanted to switch up (haha) how these characters tag in and out. Celiacs recovery option casts the warp spell. Making Alm appear beside her before teleporting him in a desired direction. Celica then dissapears, and you continue the fight as Alm. Basically a Mewtwo/palutena teleport that automatically switches the characters out.

Flamberge (Down B):
A buff that ignites Celicas sword with her signature flames for a given time. This would empower her normals (sword attacks) damage and knock back. It would also deal a small amount of damage to Celica, and this cost increases with each subsequent use.

Fire —> Thunder —> Excalibur (Neutral B):
This would be a ranged charged attack that follows celicas natural spell progression in FE. Similar to Hero’s Neutral B, all 3 attacks would have different properties, each having greater kill power than a weaker spell of course. The spell you currently have charged up would be displayed visually somehow. Fire is a quick short range projectile. Thunder is a longer range lightining bolt that descends on an opponent. I’m imagining a weaker version of Soras lightning, but with more range. Excalibur would be similar to Mii sword fighter tornado, but with the force of a smash attack. Each of these spells would also deal damage to Celica depending on how powerful they are. I want these to send the opponent somewhat vertically for some good aerial combo.

Ragnarok (Side B): Celicas Ultimate spell in FE. A powerful finisher that also hurts the user, like a ranged version of Charizards flame charge. Conjures a massive explosion, which travels a farther distance based on how long the button is held. More akin to Zelda’s side B, but celicas deals a lot of damage to herself as a cost, with far greater kill power, bigger explosion, and a shorter/slower travel pace.

Normals
Dash Atk: A fiery tackle, Celica can do this in Echoes when you explore a dungeon. I think of Kirby’s dash attack
Dodge: Teleports a short distance in a puff of flames.
Grab: Celica casts “freeze” on opponent to hold them in place, throwing or pummeling will make Alm briefly appear to protect Celica, delivering a multitude of slashes to the grabbed opponent.
Jab: Celicas sword is slender and better for stabbing, a flurry of pokes with the tip of her sword.
Tilts: Visually I’m thinking of something like young link, quick but with less range.
Aerials: longer range aerials that focus on the point of her sword, slender hitboxes. Links Up Air (for some nasty Neutral B combos). Shorter range Lucina Dair (visually feels right). She can do a short range sephiroth stab for Fair, Bair???, Nair slashes in front of her while her other hand creates a small flame behind her.
Smash attacks: Roy’s up smash for sure, lots of fiery sword swings.

Alm-

Rescue (UP B): Functionally the same as celicas Warp, a teleport that will tag Celica in. The animation changes tho, making Celica appear in the desired location to cast rescue on Alm. Alm is teleported off the map and you continue as Celica.

Scendscale (Neitral B): Alms ultimate art in echoes. His sword becomes a massive spectral Greatsword that crashes down in an arc. Functionally Byleth down B, with more range and a bit faster. The downside being the damage that Alm would also take as a result.

Double Lion (side B): A 2 hit combat art in fe echoes. Requires 2 consecutive button presses to execute properly. First slash deals heavy damage and maybe stun (no knock back), second hit has high knock back with barely any damage. The move deals more damage to Alm if it doesn’t fully connect. Would be cool if this really did a number on shields.

Recover (down B): Alm holds up his shield to block an attack. If an opponents move connects, the attack is neutralized and Celica briefly appears behind Alm to cast recover and lower his %. It’s a down B counter that heals alm instead of responding with an attack.

Normals
Dash Atk: Same as celicas, but produces a blue aura.
Grab: Alm grapples opponent, pummels via shield bashing, and throws opponent accordingly. Selica briefly appears to shoot a fire projectile at the thrown opponent. Functionally a falco/fox throw.
Jab: slower than the average jab, a couple consecutive slashes
Tilts: I have Alm in my mind as a heavy sword fighter, but not quite as heavy as Ike. My brain hurts from typing ugh
Aerials: Still going over it, though I want a neutral air that swings a sword in front, while defending his back with a shield.
Smash attacks: Would be cool if his smash attacks were sort of acrobatic and actually moves him short distances, lots of jumps and arcs.
