Hey everyone!

I’m currently in my 3rd semester of BTech CSE and I’ve been considering starting CS50x. I’ve heard about the course for quite a while, but I wanted to get some opinions from people who have actually completed it.

I have already studied C and Java in college, so I’m not completely new to programming. However, I honestly feel like my fundamentals are still somewhat fragmented. I can understand and write code for the problems I’ve been taught, but I don’t feel very confident when I have to approach a completely new problem on my own.

I also haven’t properly started DSA yet, and I’m trying to decide whether I should:

1. Do CS50x first → strengthen my fundamentals → then move on to DSA

or

2. Start DSA directly and learn/revise the fundamentals along the way.

CS50x interests me because it seems to focus on understanding computer science and problem-solving rather than just teaching a programming language. At the same time, since I already know basic C and Java, I’m wondering whether I would find too much of the course repetitive.

For people who have completed CS50x, especially those who already had some programming experience:

• Did CS50x genuinely improve your programming fundamentals?
• Did the C, memory, algorithms and data structures sections give you a better understanding of what is happening under the hood?
• Did it make learning DSA easier afterwards?
• How much time did you realistically spend on the problem sets?
• Looking back, was the time investment worth it?

So if you were in my position 3rd semester, basic C/Java knowledge, but not very confident with programming fundamentals and yet to properly start DSA would you recommend doing CS50x?

I’d especially appreciate honest opinions from people who completed the course.

Hi guys , i have been travelling for college from Mira Road to Andheri via local.

My college in dj sanghvi , so i easily get sharing rickshaw from staion to college and vice versa.

My question is as the metro kashigaon to gundavali has started , will it be better(and cheap) for me to use metro rather than local for college , and are there sharing rickshaw available from gundavali for my college or should i change at dahsiar and go to DN nagar??
