Recent Glendurgan Path Dispute

Not sure if people are aware of this, but those pink areas on the coast signify the coastal margin and what is officially open access land. The pink scalloped line denotes the boundary of the coastal margin.

There are claims of prosecution. That's actually one hell of a task to chase up and will cost a fortune. Trespass is a civil court matter. Aggravated trespass is criminal and will only work in the owners favour long term

Power in numbers folks. Don't carry tools of any kind and don't cause damage. Don't do anything to raise a case of Aggravated trespass but DO walk YOUR land.

Remember the mass trespass of kinder scout. Don’t let these people bully you.

THIS IS OFFICIALLY OPEN ACCESS LAND.

I wish you the best in getting what is yours

Anyone had any experience with BD Beta Light packs

I'm curious as to how people have found the ultra fabric on packs.and its longevity.

my Black Diamond Beta Light 45 has has discolouration around the top of the rear and side panels for sometime. The front hadn't discoloured but did look like it was kind of delaminating. This happened fairly quickly and it kind of looked like it was delaminating. I had owned the pack for 6 months and done one 150 mile hike over 8 days.

Depression had severly limited the use of the pack since I bought it really (January 25) It had the odd overnighter and day bag use with just a camera bag inside. Hardly thru hiking abuse.

I worked in a shop at the time where I bought it from and we were comparing it to a Hyperlite Mountain Gear pack which still looked pristine. At the time they had done similar miles.

Honesty, if I had to buy a pack at RRP, I would have supported a cottage company. I was able to get the pack at trade. I felt for Durston and MLD having an open source colourway being taken by a corporate giant like BD.

I'm on a hike around the UK at the moment so on a very limited budget. I'm wondering if anyone has had similar problems and what packs do you rate? Cottage companies in the uk are sparse. We have Atom Packs and there are importers of Hyperlite Mountain Gear.

Its a pain really as I was needing to replace my Duomid and planned to place an order for a SoloMid XL when ordering reopened on the 1st of july

Using mic mini 1 cradle to charge Mic Mini 2

So, kind of as the title suggests. I just got the Mic Mini 2 1tx and 1rx. I'm away for a long long distance hike and the charging cradle for the Mini 2 Mic has a cable permanently fixed. It makes it quite heavy when I already have USB C leads. It appears the Mic Mini 1 has a cradle that has a USB C in on the cradle. Are the two cradles cross compatible.

product on Amazon Edit. To clarify, it isn't the big charging case that comes with the Mic pair and reciever https://amzn.eu/d/03v8neFS

Name and username query

So I'm really new to substack. I set it up recently as a means to write about my recent struggle with mental health, how I have dealt with that, and my life in general. Its been quite unique. I guess to share the things I have done the things I have learned and the wisdom from it all. I kind of want it to be something people can connect with.

I'm trying to understand If I use my name then notes will come up with my name, but articles will be under my username (lost my mind adventure) Is this right?

I'm a kind of person who doesn't mind sharing my stories. I'm honest and don't have anything to hide. I was going to keep it anonymous but also thinking it could be better to also have my real name to help connect with others.

Thanks and sorry if this has been dealt with. Kind of trying to get things off the ground and make sense of things while feeling tired and a foggy brain from a lot of hiking!
