Musescore is a scam!

I am writing this post to warn other people of the scammy practices of Musescore. After buying the score, I went through my profile specifically to make sure I wasn't subscribed to anything, which I wasn't at the moment. Despite that, I recently received a bill for their premium subscription. Luckily, I noticed it in time.

It is extremely disappointing that such company would be actively scamming people (no other way to call it). It used to be a way of cheap apps on Iphone. You can say any excuses, like "they gave you free subscription which you needed to cancel" or "you needed to read everything carefully before buying anything", the bottom line is that every one knows that this system/practice is INTENDED to steal from unsuspecting customers. While I liked using Musescore, I simply can't work with a company that is actively trying to scam me.

I would strongly recommend people not even get involved with it, or at least not giving them your card info, as practice show, they will steal even when you are careful.

If you know any alternatives to Musescore, please let me know! If there are none, someone should make one!

[Hobby] Looking for a +1 for my simple Unity Game.

Hello Everyone!

I am looking for a partner to join me in Unity game development endeavor. After doing things solo for a while, I realized that I need other people if I want to finish anything. I am looking for someone who can collaborate with me technically, keep me pushing, and share/explore ideas.

Game Focus:

I am not going to elaborate on my game idea, since it can always change. Instead here are some key focus points that I consider a must for my game:

  1. Simplicity. This is my first game (and probably yours), as such, I am set on having a small scope. My goal is to have a FINISHED and POLISHED game, even if it is simple. When I say simplicity, I have games like PEAK in mind: several key mechanics (climbing + stamina bar), and few small supporting mechanics (ropes, food, different biomes). Despite that, PEAK is very well polished and has attracted a lot of attention.

  2. Multiplayer. I believe, multiplayer games are more fun. Since I am also making the game for myself, I want it to be a multiplayer.

  3. Money is NOT the focus. I do game dev not for the money, I do it because I have ideas that I want to implement and show to the world. I am not making a pay-to-win or a cash-grab game.

I am open to changing game ideas, however, these 3 focus points are a must for me.

What am I looking for:

  1. Be a "normal" human being is a must. By normal I mean you are not rude, toxic, controversial, etc.

  2. Ideally, I am looking for a person who has at least some experience with game development. It doesn't have to be coding, I just need to know that game dev is what you are interested in.

  3. I do game development as a hobby, so I wouldn't ask more from you.

  4. You can take on any role you like (coding, sound, modeling, etc...).

State of the project:

As mentioned before, I am open to changing game ideas, but here is what I have so far:

  1. A multiplayer structure (players connect to lobbies and start the game after).

  2. Basic movement controls (running, jumping, picking up objects).

  3. A draft of main system mechanics.

  4. Misc. (NPC movement, some animations).

If that interests you and you want to partner-up, please feel free to connect.
