

Ehcoes of the Observatory
Here’s stylized environment project I recently finished, Echoes of the Observatory.
While working on this scene, I wanted the environment to feel quiet and aged by time, like a place that had slowly changed over the years. I focused a lot on the mood and lighting throughout the scene. I wanted the scene to feel like a place that was once used and quietly aged by time.
All of the textures were hand-painted in Substance Painter. I wanted to keep a painterly look while still following a PBR-based workflow. The scene was assembled and rendered in Unreal Engine, where I spent a lot of time refining the lighting and overall cinematic mood. I paid a lot of attention to how the light filled the space and shaped the overall atmosphere.
