Is it practical to collect sealed Coca-Cola cans long-term (20–30 years)?
I’ve recently started collecting Coca-Cola cans, specifically full, unopened ones. However, when I looked on eBay, I noticed that almost all older cans are either opened or have a small hole used to drain the contents.
That made me wonder: is it actually impossible, or at least impractical, to store sealed cans of soda for 20–30 years?
Intuitively, it seems like sealed cans should have higher collectible value, since they’re more difficult to store, preserve, and transport compared to empty ones. Because of that, I’m surprised there aren’t more examples of long-term sealed cans available, and I’m unsure whether I should focus on collecting them in this form at all.
