I redeemed enough points through PopSlots to get a 10% discount on a Royal Caribbean cruise. I've never been on a cruise before and I'm not sure how to make the most of this. A few things I'd appreciate input on:

Has anyone here gone through the myVEGAS/PopSlots rewards exchange for a cruise?

Any gotchas with the redemption process?

For a first timer are there certain itineraries or ship classes that tend to be more beginner friendly?

I have basically searched the death out of this sub and didn't find anything specific to third party rewards redemptions. Hoping someone has been down this road.
