I’m really confused about the new citizenship changes. From what I understand, the citizenship wait went from 5 years to 10 years, and now the time only starts counting from the date you receive your first residency card instead of the date you submitted the application. Does this mean time spent waiting for AIMA no longer counts? So if someone applied years ago but only received the residency card later because of delays, the 10-year clock only starts from the card issuance date?
