Felt sad that we don’t have culturally traditional clothing items, and then realised we do, why do we never wack these out for special occasions?

I love seeing the beauty of for example traditional Japanese, Persian, Indian, Ukrainian etc clothing.

For a moment I was sad that we don’t have anything quite as similar but then I realised we do, however unlike for the others listed we never wear them whereas other cultures will for religious or cultural dates or festivals of importance.

I feel like we need to bring back just wearing full on Victorian era outfits for events.

Alternatives to the gym

So I’m a pretty poor weight at the moment. I would definitely say overweight and teetering on but not quite obese.

I would say my diet is not really the issue other than my inability to just cook enough food for the people eating. (I always make too much). I grew up with home cooking and have always been taught to love vegetables. During the day I don’t really eat breakfast or lunch often. If I do eat lunch which is at most a handful of times a month it will usually be sandwich or some scrambled eggs.

My big issue is that I work from home and so I just don’t use enough energy.

I started going to the gym just like I used to before I lost weight and I ended up really hurting my knee and my back as I have joint hypermobility syndrome & disc degenerative disease. When I was skinnier and had already built up a decent amount of muscle my body was able to compensate for the additional movement in my joints but now I’m so unfit the doctors recommend lighter activity.

The gym I use also has a swimming pool and when I was slightly larger last time swimming was the way I lost it.

I really hate this swimming pool though. It’s the only facility nearby so it’s always packed no matter the time of day I go. It’s a relatively small pool and there are usually like 6 people a lane which means I’m either going to slowly to push myself or people have to overtake me. On top of that you have to book your slot and it’s just overall an unpleasant experience to what I’m used to. Especially since overall it takes an additional hour to travel there and back.

This got me thinking, does everyone just use the gym or do people get their exercise in in different ways. Do you do exercise that’s more of an activity like idk martial arts or dance or whatever or have we just become a nation of gym goers?

I’d love some suggestions to get myself moving more that won’t throw my back out and I potentially might find a provider nearby. I miss looking forward to exercising.

My head cannon is that these two are mother and daughter

Im rewatching HMT while i wait for the next Testaments episode and to me these two are strikingly similar in both appearance and personality and my theory is that at some point Alma did have a child with a commander and it was Becka.

I have no evidence for this, just vibes.
