Hey everyone,

I’ve been going to the gym for around 6 months now, but honestly I’ve been pretty inconsistent with my diet and protein intake, which I feel has really slowed my progress. Since I’m Jain, my options are more limited, so dairy-based protein (mainly whey) seems like the best practical choice for me.

I’m a complete beginner when it comes to supplements and protein powders, so I’d really appreciate some advice on:

  • Good beginner-friendly whey protein options
  • Budget-friendly brands in India
  • Clean ingredients / trustworthy quality
  • Easy digestion (if possible)
  • Best value for money

I’ve also noticed some hair thinning recently, so I’m planning to pause intense gym sessions for now and focus more on fixing my diet, improving overall nutrition, and building a healthier lifestyle first.

So I’m mainly looking for:

  1. Reliable protein sources I can include in a Jain diet
  2. A solid whey protein powder to help meet daily protein needs

Would love honest recommendations from people who’ve been in a similar situation. Thanks!

I just turned 22 and I’m starting to realize there’s a lot I don't know about navigating the real world. Whether it’s social skills, financial habits, basic home maintenance, or career advice—what are the "must-know" skills that will save me the most stress in my 20s? What do you wish you had started practicing at my age?
