Book suggestions
I was wondering if anyone has good suggestions for books that cover the current state of knowledge in regards to exercise and T1D. Doesn't have to be specifically focused on that, but have a chapter or two at least.
Thanks!

Hello! If someone can help me solve this mystery I will be forever in your debt. The LONG story begins now.
Bought the house last year and the water was soft as a bunny. About a month and a half ago my water softener (Ecowater EEC1502R40) stopped working because the brine tank wasn't draining. I called a guy from a reputable company to come fix it. He claimed (using just a flashlight) that the resin was too high in the tank, indicating it had been degraded by chloramines and needed to be replaced. Sent me the paperwork for a $2,000 unit and install fee. I thought F you, I'll fix it myself.
We replaced the resin with Aldex C-800 x10 crosslink, and nothing improved.
I replaced the venturi gasket, and the brine tank began to drain properly. Still barely perceptible change in water hardness, although test strips read the water coming out is about 1/4 as hard (tested through serial dilutions). So SOMETHING is happening.
The only reasons I'm trying to persue this are A) pride, B) it feels wasteful to throw out a 99% perfect unit, and C) I've already spent $400 CAD on it.
Here is the list of components I've checked and work properly:
-Brine tank (fully cleaned out and re-filled)
-Fill line and all associated floats and components
-Venturi valve
-Entire valve head assembly, including the cam, motor, rotor, and gaskets
-I confirmed the rotor/disc wasn't clogged and that there were no leaks in any of the internal channels directing water within the head
-The distributer tube is clear and not clogged
-The drain hose is clear
-The resin tank is being flooded with salt (drain hose begins fresh, turns salty, fresh again during regeneration)
-The water flows through the resin tank fully, not by passing the tank in some way in the head (when I manually regen and skip the rinse stage the water fromthe tap eventually comes out pure brine, not fresh or diluted. Yum)
-The controls are set to 40 grains per gallon, and salt efficiency mode is on
-I've regenerated the tank probably 15 times in all since this started.
The ONLY thing I can think of at this point is that we mucked up the resin somehow. We didn't slowly fill it with water as I've seen some suggest because the video I was watching at the time didn't do that.
In SHORT, my Ecowater EEC1502R40 system with Aldex C-800 x10 is only working at about 75% efficiency in 40 gpg water where it used to remove all minerals.
