I hate the Jess and Rory storyline

I'm rewatching the second season right now and I feel so fkin bad for Dean. Jess is an asshole and honestly Rory is an asshole too. This storyline literally makes me lose respect and any good feelings for Rory even tho she's a teenager. Probably because my husband is so similar to Dean (he's cooler tho). Just wanted to rant, thanks.

Did MBTI help you in any concrete way?

Hi!

I think I first did the 16personalities test in 2015, and in 2018 I took a deep dive into MBTI. I'm fully familiar with the cognitive functions, grips, loops, and several theories; I've spent countless hours debating about them online, I even did surveys across communities to study them over the last 8 years, and I came up with my own theories. I personally can relate to almost any type, and I’ve even been typed as ones I don't relate to at all. In the last year, I finally realized that contemplating my type and spending my time "studying" MBTI is a form of avoidance for me, and that it actually hinders my personal development since I use it to avoid emotions.

Today, I tried to make a list of the positive changes in my life that were caused by dealing with MBTI, and I found NONE. I got rid of two addictions, got married, am on the verge of buying a house, I have a great job, a loving family, and 3 pets. I'm into psychology, philosophy, reading, and dancing, and none of these has any relation to my obsession with MBTI, but rather to spirituality, philosophy, and psychology and dealing with my C-PTSD.

MBTI did not even help me "get to know myself better"; to be fair, it just made it harder. The only positive aspect of spending time with MBTI is that it's not as harmful as other coping mechanisms could be.

I'm curious: in what concrete ways did MBTI help you? Did it help you have better connections with your family or friends? If so, how? Do you have any concrete examples?

Did it help you find a better job? Better health? Better mental health? Did it lead to a spiritual awakening?

Since I don't know anyone who benefited from dealing with MBTI, and for me it was somewhat harmful, I’ve come to the conclusion that MBTI is nonsense and has no positive sides. Please help me change my mind.

Thank you!
