Would anyone here be interested in a Weird Girl Lit book club?

Hi folks,

I'm a member of a few book clubs in London and have found it a fun way to meet people and read interesting books. However, none of the bookclubs focus on the kind of books I like - a genre that is often described as 'Weird Girl Lit'.

Would there be any interest here from others in such a bookclub? Trying to gague a level of interest before organising! I have no idea when or where it would be yet, but likely a weekday night once a month somewhere central.

Let me know in the comments if this sounds like an interesting idea and if I get enough interest I'd love to set something up!

Not getting promoted as I am "too stable and predictable"

Hi folks.

I've been a Product Manager for 5 years now (across 2 companies) and have been at my current place for 2.5 years now.
I've been attempting to get promoted to Senior PM for 6 months and have had some *interesting* feedback from my manager as to why I am not yet being considered. In order to get promoted I have to appease his very loose and ill-defined idea of SPM.

His feedback is that he wants people who have a hyper, energetic approach to work. I am too "stable and predictable" and often considered "calm" and "low energy" as a result. I interpret this to mean I am not like some of the other (male...) PMs on my team who hype up our manager's AI strategy at every opportunity and have all drunk the AI Kool Aid.

Has anyone else dealt with being perceived as too calm?

The irony is that this is a scale up, not a start up and I specifically left start ups behind as I wanted calm lol.
