I’ve been back and forth between r/GirlDinnerDiaries and here for a while now and I wanted to just let a few guys know some stuff.
I see what seems like a weird competition between these subs and most of the same (but opposite sex) posts daily. It almost seems like either the guys here are trying to compete in the drama Olympics or they (GDD) are and honestly I’m not sure but my guys, you ain’t winning those Olympics against those girls.
I‘m 39 years old and I’ve been both blessed (cursed? lol) to live a life filled with adventure, abundance and the companionship of some very wonderful very beautiful women…
but it wasn’t always that way, I was and am still not what anyone would consider “conventionally attractive” and was bald much younger than most (in my early teens).
I struggled throughout and finally found a woman who I was sure I’d marry at 20 and I felt so lucky that this gorgeous woman even looked at me that I overlooked so (so so so) many red flags and she after 3 years of a relationship cheated so many times and I kept taking her back.
that relationship taught me everything I needed to know and the difference between being a good man who gets out of a bad situation and being a good man who turns bad because of a situation.
I’m saying this because I see so much discourse especially here on how “this woman doesn’t like this” or “that woman doesn’t like me because of that”.
Gentleman (especially you younger guys) put on your listening ears please.
You can be a good guy and do everything right and she might still leave. But that doesn’t mean it’s time to give up or hate all women… it was 1 woman, even 2, 3 it doesn’t matter, it just doesn’t.
Men are (blessed) cursed with the ability to move forward and still care about that person even though they hurt you.
I never talk badly about my exes, i just don’t talk about them at all.
What I'm saying here is, learn how to move forward in your life with or without her. It doesn’t make her ”evil” if she doesn’t want to be with you, it doesn’t even make her a bad person.
It makes her no one to you. So why care about no one?
Anyway, maybe this will be a nothing burger and fall on dead ears, but here’s a BBQ burger.
[TLDR: don’t hate on women just because it seems like they might hate you, we’re different and you’ll never compete on that level. Focus on just being a good guy and let the chips fall where they may.
