Help me heal my barrier!

Hello everyone, I’ve recently damaged my barrier and want to repair it before starting adapelene for the first time. I have normal to oily skin, however if I go a couple days without skincare it becomes dry. I’m currently using vanicream cleanser and daily facial moisturizer but want to heal and protect my barrier before throwing a retinoid to it. My options are replace my current moisturizer with purito panthenol cream, or illyoon ceramide cream, or keep my current moisturizer but add in purito panthenol serum before it. I have very clog prone skin and a lot of closed comodones and so far vanicream has been the only thing my skin tolerates. Any help would be appreciated!

[Routine Help]

Hey everyone, I need help deciding whether or not to start adapelene. I have a lot of CC’s on my face and the stuff that comes out is very similar to KP bits. Right now I’m using salycilic acid once a week and it works well but doesn’t get fully rid of them and I recently realized that I can’t tolerate twice a week. I also have a lot of pih and pie scars and it just seems that adapelene would solve all my issues. I would start by sandwiching it once a week for the first month and go from there but my fear is that my skin won’t tolerate it and would make everything worse, on the other hand what if it’s just what I need. Thoughts?
