Ray palmer is weird

I remember as a kid watching the arrow and thinking “oh this is kind of weird all the stuff that ray palmer is doing with felicity but it’s their kind of love”

as an adult. i cannot get behind that logic. ray palmer is a perverted stalker

hacking into a girls private life, finding her place of living and sending her flowers and a ton of other stuff consistently, showing up to her house? buying companies spending hundreds of millions of dollars to force a girl to work for you? continue doing all of this after she told you to stop for weeks? giving her a WAY to much of a high ranking position just to try and sleep with her? taking her out to dinners she has no business being at? and just in general a really creepy stalkerish attitude and being a guy who wants control over litterally everything.

mind you this is essentially a random girl he saw at a radio shack. AFTER DIGGING INTO HER OLD WORK PLACE AND DOING EXTRA RESEARCH INTO HER FOR HONESTLY NO FUCKING REASON

just cause he’s a pacifist doesn’t mean he’s not a joe goldberg 💀 😭 ✌️

I don’t know how i justified all that weird shit as a kid. guys a pervert with a bank account and should be locked up IMMEDIATELY

thank god the writers chilled the fuck out with him and made him a normal human being eventually.

like shit genuinely reminds me of s2 of “You”

It’s not iris.

I don’t like iris. if you do like iris that’s fine. a lot of people don’t like her tho. and those people say “it should have been caitlyn, patty or someone else”

no. it shouldn’t have been. you don’t like iris because of the way she’s written. doesn’t matter what name or actress barry’s love interest had. they would have eventually been written the same fucking way. it’s not iris. it’s the writers.

the writers weren’t even really writing iris. they were writing barry’s love interest. so let’s say it was kaitlyn. you’d still end up disliking kaitlyn, the only difference being kaitlyn doesn’t have a fucking blog.

my take on it is. yeah iris isn’t great to me. but id much prefer her be the dumbly written love interest than a character that’s actually somewhat useful to the team and has an actual story outside of “oh i just write stories about my husbands work”

i mean imagine if caitlyn got ripped away from her story line to be barry’s love interest just for iris to be a useless character in the show since her only plot was being barry’s love interest.

The flash show was never supposed to exist

i was looking into why the 24 hours before barry got struck was different in the arrow and in the flash.

then i saw the stupid google AI thing say it was because the flash show wasn’t supposed to exist, atleast not way into future when barry would have already been the flash for a while and just have barry be a guest every now and then on the arrow. i didn’t believe that so i did more research and found out that’s true-ish atleast. and the only reason they actually scrapped that idea and made the flash show sooner, and show his immediate uprising was because they loved grant gustins performance

which is insane to think about. especially considering even people who HATE the show appreciate grant gustins energy and performance. especially with the scripts he had. from what i’ve seen most people also view him as the superior flash to.

but how true do you think that story is tho, or do you think it was just a cover up for lazy writing and wanting to change the day before?

what was barry doing in thawnes time?

either barry lived 200 years or barry for absolutely no reason in the original timeline decided to travel 140 years in the future to save a group of people then goes back. which started RFs vendetta.

also how the fuck did it take thawne so long to find out what time the flash was from. it’s kind of not hard considering it’d be in the worlds history books. that he would have grown up with in school. that he apparently studied for his entire life.

as for his identity it’s safe to say just maybe it wasn’t so obvious who the flash was since barry wouldn’t have owned star labs.

shows ending

barry and team flash for 9 years: “killing is wrong and if we do that it means we’re no longer heros. no matter who our enemy’s have killed we never kill.”

barry and team flash in the finale: “lol never mind just kill these motherfuckers”

who’s grandma died to make s8

the entire thing takes some weird turn where they fight death and time itself, talk about grief a million times and barry allen gets dementia while joe is struggling with getting old

so who’s grandma or mom died to make s8, and although it made for kind of weird television what dark ass times did they have to go through to make it.

The original timeline

would be cool to see the original timeline, i mean everything in the show happens because of things in the future or the past being changed.

imagine the original timeline, barry doesn’t get his speed until 2020, wally’s not there, we see the invention of savitar, the real wells, barry goes missing in 2024 (or whatever the original date would have been) we see the actual invention of the reverse flash, barry having a kid without it time traveling ofc, barry with both parents, barry not growing up with joe, no cisco, no kaitlyn, the only thing that’d stay the same would be the other earths because the timeline isn’t effected there, and lastly the arrow would already be dead or atleast way past his start

it’s weird to think about but other than the same names literally nothing and no characters throughout the show would be the same. thawne is the spawn point of the show, which would make it super interesting to see the timeline where thawne doesn’t even exist until decades upon decades in the future

Is barry rich?

i hadn’t even thought about this my first time watching the show but cisco, kaitlyn, and the rest of the people that worked with barry have all been able to comfortably live. barry and iris being able to live a little flashy with that type of apartment on a csi payroll.

so they must be getting paid, also not just regular taxes for regular payroll but he has to pay for a stadium like lab that is expensive for multi billion dollar agency’s (like the chiefs) to pay for. also considering (as someone from missouri myself) we get double taxed and business taxed like a mother fucker. then all the equipment, remolding in later seasons.

it’s not specifically said, but to pay for that building for that long, have that many people on payroll for that long, open the flash museum, the medical equipment and groundbreaking work with technology it would have costed barry millions dollars. possibly (more likely) hundreds of millions of dollars.

my guess would be when Harrison wells died it wasn’t shown in the show but he left his entire net worth to barry.

so barry could very well (especially right after receiving the money) been close if not past a billionaire. who just lived very VERY modestly
