I wanna buy minecraft digitally on switch 2 like right now, i know there’s a upgrade or new version of it releasing in october. im just wondering if buying it rn would be a waste and i should maybe wait?

I play dead by daylight on my mac with geforce but since the past week when ever i queue (free version) it takes like an hour or more to get in, and when i do its extremely laggy and unplayable. Is this normal or has something messed up on my end?
