idk/help

This is kinda like a vent but I also don’t know what I should do. I moved in, my roommates are both super sweet but they both have friends already so I don’t see them very often. I don’t know what to do with myself right now; I don’t have any friends. I just spend all day walking around by myself. I’ve reached 20000 steps the last three days because I don’t want my roommates to think i’m always in my dorm even though i’d rather be there. Problem is i’m also not eating because I can’t get myself to eat alone so i’m tired all day. I like it here and i’m excited for classes to start but I just don’t know what to do with myself right now. I keep telling myself i’ll make friends once classes start but I also told myself I would become friends with my roommates and that didn’t happen.

Curtains?

I'm moving in next week, and my roommate wants to know if I will bring curtains to the dorm. Does anyone have any recommendations? I've read, technically, that you aren't allowed to add curtains or remove any window furniture, but I would still like to bring some to appease my roommate.

Lenovo 15" Thinkpad Case

I just got a Lenovo ThinkPad X9 15 Aura Edition Intel (15"). I am trying to find a hard case/cover for it, but I can't find any because it's a 2026 edition. Does anyone know where I could buy one?

Double forced triple loft

If I am in a double forced triple (specifically for the honors dorms), do I/my roommates need to order a loft through that website that goes through Purdue?

ipad??

I’m going to be a CS Freshman but I’m trying to transfer into ME next semester. I bought the Lenovo Thinkpad after a lot of research but i’m wondering if getting an ipad would be helpful for engineering? Thanks!

Honors Dorm Small Triple

Hey! My roommates and I are in a double that has become a triple. Obviously, one person is lofted, and the other two are bunked, but besides that, we are super lost. Would any upperclassman send photos of how they set up with the dressers, closets, and desks?

Honors Housing?

Does a small triple in the Honors College Residences just mean a double they made into a triple? I'm looking at photos, and it seems very small for 3 people.

AP Transfer Credit

Hello! I received this email from my advisor, and I am kinda freaking out. I sent my AP and IB scores right when they came out through College Board. When I look into my admissions portal it says they received them. I've already emailed my counselor a lot and I feel bad sending more. Does anyone know what to do?

CS to ME

How hard is it to actually transfer from CS to engineering (specifically mechanical)? I understand the people I've talked to are trying to be really supportive and telling me it's possible, but I feel like I need an honest answer, and everyone around me is just being very positive.

Honors Courses

Hi! I'm an incoming first-year student at Purdue's Honors College. My honors advisor recommended that I add another Honors course because I was originally only at 13 credits. He recommended HONR 314: Behavioral and Social Science, HONR 313: Science, Technology and Society, or HONR 315: Humanities. I didn't realize there are different courses within these categories. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good course to take as a first year. I'm also trying to find an easier non-STEM course because my major is already Computer Science.
