I want to thank everyone for the feedback I've received and wanted to announce the release of version 4.0 of RE-KORD, a major release in which I believe I've included all the main features.
The next steps will be general and UI optimizations, a version for Apple systems, and a general refinement of all features.
As I already wrote in last week's post (this is a major release, so I thought I'd make an update post; to avoid spam, I won't do any more), I invite you to read the website, which contains many questions about why RE-KORD is not your typical media player. I show and explain many unique features, such as the integrated Plectr game and much more.
AI Involving: I've been a professional programmer for over 10 years. This software isn't vibe-coded, but Cursor and Claude were used as support tools to speed up refactoring, rebranding, and code cleanup. All the work has always been supervised by me.
I'm really satisfied and wanted to share this new development with you. I hope to receive much more feedback in the future. Here are some useful links:

Good morning everyone, today I'd like to introduce you to RE-KORD, the software I've been developing for months to manage, download, play, gaming and experience music differently than other apps.

Quick FAQ:
- No AI features
- Completely free and open source
- It's not purely AI-based; I'm a professional developer and use Cursor was used to speed up my work, since I work on it alone and in my spare time. I've been a full-time programmer for over 10 years. This isn't slop-AI, but I used it as a support tool. In fact, the first commit was already a working version and I left cursor as co-author for maximum transparency (he only committed once for a technical bug fix).
- I explain many aspects of the software in the Tutorial and FAQ sections
- Why not Navidrome/others? I explain this in the FAQs on the website.
I'm available for any questions or requests. The software is still under development. Version 3.5 is available for Windows and Linux (no install required) or Docker.
Super quick guide to testing it on Android: download RE-KORD on a Windows or Linux PC (server), launch it, add some songs, cover art, test the Plectr game, and anything else you like.
When you're ready to test, go to settings and connect (login only) to a Cloudflare account (even a newly created one is fine) and enable sharing via https URL. Open the URL on the device from a browser (Chrome/Chromium should work better) and install RE-KORD as an app (top right button on the mobile version). Open the installed RE-KORD app and test the UI.
Please feel free to create issues on github for bugs you find and/or features you want, any advice and feedback is extremely helpful!

P.S.
I'm looking for at least one tester with a large music library (5000 tracks or more), so please if you'd like to try it out and give me feedback on large libraries, it would be a huge help!!!I'm looking for at least one tester with a large music library (5000 tracks or more), so please if you'd like to try it out and give me feedback on large libraries, it would be a huge help!!!

Come sempre, Capa ispira e rimane in sottofondo mentre sviluppo

First post here, I'd really like to avoid being banned from the subreddit. I've read the rules, but I didn't find any helpful information in point 2 of the Reddit self-promotion. If it's not okay, I'll remove it immediately!
I'm a Web Dev and for the last couple of months I've been building RE-KORD, an open-source local music hub focused on people who actually own their music collection.
The idea started because I was frustrated with the direction of streaming platforms: subscriptions, disappearing tracks, fragmented libraries and very little control over my own collection.
RE-KORD runs entirely on your own machine and lets you:
• Stream your local music library across devices on your network
• Organize and edit metadata, covers and lyrics
• Download tracks, albums and playlists directly from within the app
• Track listening statistics and achievements
• Use real-time audio visualizers
• Play a built-in rhythm game (Plectr) that automatically generates levels from your music
The project is fully open source and designed around the idea that your music should remain yours.
I'm still actively developing it and I'd love feedback from people in the self-hosting and music-hoarding communities.

Questions, criticism and feature requests are welcome. Any comments and advice will help me a lot!!
Fogliolina -> Chill
Fiamma -> Aggressiva
Smile -> Divertente
