What's everyone's thoughts?

Trying to remember a book that was about two sisters whose parents were divorcing. It was based around swimming lessons I think and the cover had both girls on front, one further forward. I remember it was a bitter divorce and that I hated this book but it had a line like "if you don't want to do something say you can't, it's easier to say you can't than you won't" I will have read it around 1990 to 1995.

Possibly a title to do with swimming. Every variation I've found wasnt the divorce coming of age variation.

Around 2010s, slightly stocky comedian with brown hair, blue eyes, and glasses. I can see him in a suit, around mid to late 40s. Appeared on panel shows mainly. Looks like a cross between Richard Herring and Mark Benton.
