Surgery causing loss of scholarship?

m currently on a 4-year scholarship and contracted last semester. I was wondering if I would lose my benefits (tuition, stipend, etc.) if I needed to undergo a minor distal biceps repair surgery. My surgeon stated it's not absolutely necessary for my lifestyle, and I already have been cleared

I would likely be out for most or all of the semester, although I am planning to be abroad during that time anyway. I attend a relatively expensive school in CA, so I’m trying to avoid a situation where I either have to pay out of pocket for a semester or delay my studies.

Has anyone been through a similar situation? I want to make sure I understand how this might affect my benefits before making any crazy decisions.

Only taking 12 credits

I have enough credits from DE and Summer courses that starting my junior year, I could technically take only 12 credits a semester, and then only 3 credits my last semester(Filling the remaining 9 with BS courses) However, they are all technical courses.

For example, my fall junior year I would be taking Sys & Networks, Computer Architecture, Programmable HW, and Intro to VLSI. My Senior year I would have my senior design, Network and Comp Security, and two technical electives.

Is that alot of work given the rigor of each course, or should I try to spread it out a bit more evenly? I may want to go for a masters, so if that's plausible then I would like to consider it.

What is the best method to find bounds?

This is a homework problem I was given, and the idea of finding "0 and 2" as the lower and upper bounds is pretty unintuitive to me. By default, I would equal the two equations to eachother in order to see if I can find factors or even an individual x intercept. I would then equal both equations to 0, but I end up getting 1 & 2.

Given that I wasn't able to find 0, what is the best way to ensure I am finding all of the proper bounds?

Internship application question

I am very interested in interning at Fortinet, and I was wondering which skills I should focus on to become a more competitive applicant.

For context, I'm an incoming sophomore majoring in Computer Engineering. I currently do machine learning/"AI" research involving active BOLA detection, have competed in NCAE, and serve as a Lab Administrator for my school's Information Security Club. I'll also have a security clearance by the time I apply, although I'm not sure how much that matters for internship roles.

From what I've researched, the interview process includes a LeetCode style coding assessment and seems to place a strong emphasis on technical ability. I've also seen people recommend practicing with PicoCTF, but that advice feels a bit vague since the challenges cover such a wide range of topics and difficulty levels.

If anyone has experience with Fortinet internships or interviews and would be willing to share what skills, technologies, or types of problems I should prioritize, I'd really appreciate it!

How to manage applying to multiple internships, and keeping relevant skills?

How do I balance practicing on HackerRank, LeetCode, Hack The Box, and CTFs while also managing coursework, working as a research assistant, and maintaining a side project? On top of that, I'm trying to build a well-rounded skill set for Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and Electrical/Computer Engineering internships.

I'm an incoming Computer Engineering sophomore, and I'm already applying for internships since many companies recruit a year in advance.

This may just be a skill issue, or some type of pill I have yet to swallow. Any advice would be appreciated.

Dent in right shoulder - back in gym

I had an anterior dislocation in my shoulder about 4 months ago, started PT about 2-3 weeks later. My orthopedic surgeon said from a clinical standpoint, I likely don't have a torn labrum, though I haven't gotten an MRI yet.

I just got back into lifting, and I was wondering if anyone has a slight dent going downwards on/right above their deltoid? I am thinking it's just muscle atrophy, but I am not sure if it's something worth getting checked out. 😄
