Hi! Curious to get more insight on these areas I am considering. About me: I am mid 30's, single female, no kids. I want to be able to go out and meet people ; but I do not want to live in the non stop chaos. Being about 20 mins from it is fine for me. Want to be in an area where I can get to and enjoy sports, restaurants, shops etc.

Help please! Considering my first 1099 job to go alongside another job for extra income
1- how do you know how much to put aside for taxes?
2- any way to estimate / guesstimate about how much you’ll actually take home / how many hours you need to work to actually see money coming in once taxes are paid?
3- did you open a separate checking account or savings account?
4- is 1099 work worth it with the hassle of the taxes?

Hey hey hey! I need help! I’m 34, single and will be working at Howard. I’m wanting to be close to get out of, walk and do things. But not in the hustle and bustle. Any specific complex recommendations in Brookland or Van Ness that you love? I also do need a parking garage or reserved parking - not street.
