In case anyone remembers my original post from a couple months ago about finding two sick kittens on vacation in California. To anyone who missed the original post: My friend found them on a job site, mama not to be found , clearly sick with some sort of upper respiratory infection. Since I was on vacation, I didn’t have work or set plans for the day so I spent the day taking them to the vet. I spent my vacation looking for someone to adopt or foster them even though I knew in my heart they’d found me for a reason.

welp we are now the proud parents of 4 sweet boys. Here are some before and afters of the kittens when we first found them and some recent videos and photos with their two older brothers here in Nashville.

Hi all! A girl posted her bridesmaid proposal boxes on here, and I was inspired to do the same. She also inspired me to decorate the outside of the boxes!

I think hers was a little bit more elaborate as far as the contents of the box. I wanted to keep mine simple and sweet: -Hand written letter -in the lace trimmed envelope, a gift card specified to their taste (eg.local art supply store for my friend who is a fine artist) -a small framed photo of us magnetized for fridge display! -a vintage ceramic music box -a pendant with an embroidery of their birth flower (did these by hand - I love embroidery)

So maybe I’m just spiraling a bit . Earlier today I said yes to the dress and made the purchase ! Yay! I came in with the intention of buying both the dress and the mantilla veil I originally tried it on with (pictured). As I tried on the dress the shop owner pulled the veil I loved and also a veil she recommended because the lace is a much lighter and more delicate material and the lace matched the dress better.

I tried on the one she recommended and it was nice but it didn’t have that true vintage mantilla look that’s been on my mind since day one of mood boarding. Then I tried on the one I love and it did feel a lot heavier than her recc almost to the point of making me feel hot. (Now I’m wondering if I felt hot from the pressure of choosing).I felt like she was a little bit annoyed that I was leaning for the one she didn’t recommend and in the moment I kind of told myself “well yeah this is probably more comfortable” and I pulled the trigger on the lighter more modern one

They have a strict no returns policy and I didn’t notice till after the fact that the veil she recommended was twice the price of the original one in the picture. Checks out.

At the end of the day I just feel bad. My mom insisted she pay the dress and accessories so if I ultimately come back and shell out for the one I love I feel like I just wasted her money on a split second decision.

To boot, I didn’t even get pictures of the one I bought so I can only stew in my head of what it did or didn’t look like with the dress.

I guess I’m just venting. If I go back for the original veil I’ll probably try to sell the more expensive one and get my mom some of her money back

HIIIII!!!! I’ve been following this subreddit for a LONG time and I swear every other post is “dress regret”. So going into my first official dress shopping day I was telling everyone I didn’t want to get lost in the magic and the hype and end up buying a dress my first time out. because I’m TERRIFIED of dress regret. At the end of the day I even felt pretty confident that even though I found a couple I really loved , I’d want to do another day of try-ons just to be sure. Here’s the thing though - it’s been about a week since dress shopping and I cannot stop thinking about her (this dress lol). I’ve quite literally never felt so beautiful as in these photos.

Context - the sample was much too big for me so at my actual size the cups wouldn’t be quite so boobalicious and the V wouldn’t be quite so deep. (she gave me padded push-up inserts to fill out the cups)

So here’s the question: is this a sign that I’ve found the one? Or should I do the logical thing and do another round of try-ons.

Here’s the second question: am I crazy or is this dress so stunning ?????? Validate my obsession!!

Visiting home in California (I live in Nashville). My close friend in CA found these two at a job site. Because everyone has normal jobs to do on Friday and I was virtually plan-free I offered to take them to the vet. (They have upper respiratory infections, one more seriously than the other). Well of course after a full day of driving around with bonded kittens it seems I’ve bonded with them myself. The issue? I don’t live here and we’ve already got two adult males cats in our Nashville apartment. But I love these two!!

Should I let them go or is this the C.D.system working its *inconvenient* magic?

I’ve been into health and fitness for a while now and began weight lifting /recomping a couple years ago. These first two photos were from 4 months and 2 months ago respectively when I decided to lock-in again after a very indulgent Christmas vacation month. While I wasn’t upset with my progress in these first 2 photos at all , I wanted know how much more progress I would see if I quit alcohol completely for a while and ACTUALLY locked in.

Surprise, surprise, I’m pretty sure those weekend drinks were holding me back SO much. Even when I would stick to vodka sodas / lighter calorie alcohol I would definitely over-do it frequently and completely skip workouts and make worse food decisions.

So here I am celebrating this bittersweet win because damn do I still want a glass of wine.
